Overview

Before rolling out on your site, it’s important to review these settings that impact account management and supporter experience.

Public Information

These are the global settings that define how your organization is referenced across various platform areas:

  • Organization name: Ensure your organization’s name appears correctly as it will be displayed in supporter experiences like the Checkout modal, emails, and receipts.
  • Website URL: This URL serves as the base for the Checkout modal. Make sure it links to a site where the installation script is active.
  • Organization email: This email will appear in supporters’ PDF receipts.
  • Customer support phone number: This number is automatically added to email footers and included in PDF receipts.
  • Time zone: Validate the correct time zone for your organization. It’s used to generate insights and timestamps for exports and integrations.

Account

These settings help you manage multiple accounts when subaccounts are enabled:

  • Account code: Assign a custom identifier for your account, useful for exports and integrations.

This image serves as the default logo for features like the Checkout modal, and Donor Portal. You can override it in some areas using a different image file.

  • Minimum resolution: 120×120 px
  • Recommended resolution: 240×240 px

Statement Descriptor

This transaction identifier appears on supporters’ billing statements. Ensure it is short and recognizable to prevent disputes. The descriptor has a maximum length of 22 characters.

These settings govern how your organization is referred to in emails, receipts, and other platform areas:

  • Legal name: The full legal name of your organization as shown on legal documents.
  • Tax ID: Your organization’s tax identification number; displayed in emails and receipts.
  • Legal address: Your organization’s address from incorporation or tax documents; included in receipts.
  • Tax-exempt status checkbox: Mark this if your organization is a registered charity.

Tax Exemption Verification

Upload your organization’s proof of tax-exempt status, usually issued by your country’s governing body.
