URL Settings

The Portal URL is the address used for both the Donor Portal and your organization’s Campaign Pages. By default, these are hosted on a subdomain at donorsupport.co. The Portal URL can be customized to use a specific subdomain at donorsupport.com or a custom domain managed by your organization.

  • Domain: Customize a subdomain connected to donorsupport.co. For instance, mycharity.donorsupport.co.
  • Custom Domain: Allows using an address that you manage, like portal.mycharity.org, for a fully white-labeled experience. This requires configuring your DNS settings, limited to subdomains only.

DNS Settings for Custom Domains

To configure a custom domain for your Portal URL, you need to add a CNAME record in your DNS settings directing to givetly’s server. Use the following settings:

  • Name: [your subdomain]
  • Type: CNAME
  • Target: domain.donorsupport.co

Donor Portal Appearance

You can customize the Donor Portal by adding a favicon and hero image. The recommended resolutions are:

  • Favicon: Minimum 32x32px, recommended 64x64px.
  • Hero Image: Minimum 930x408px, recommended 1860x816px.

Homepage Message

This is displayed over the hero image in the Donor Portal, including a title and description. It’s customizable and can include personalization tags. Use this message to guide supporters on how to manage their donations and provide contact information.

Localization

Enable Localization to translate the homepage message into supported languages. Modify translations in the Homepage Message section of the Donor Portal settings.

  • Require contact or feedback form: Displays instructions for supporters to contact you for cancellations.

Reduce Recurring Donation Amount

  • Supporter can reduce amount in Donor Portal: Enabling this allows supporters to adjust their recurring donation amounts, reducing support inquiries.
  • Require contact or feedback form: Prompts supporters to contact you for changes.

Supporter Permissions

  • Edit Personal Information: Uncheck to prevent supporters from editing their details like name and email.
  • Pause Recurring Gifts: Allow supporters to pause installments for predefined or chosen durations.

Donation History Visibility

Decide whether to display supporters’ donation histories in the Donor Portal. Recurring donations history is visible regardless of this setting.

Understanding Retention Prompts
