What is Tribute Giving?

Tribute giving allows supporters to make donations in honor or memory of someone or something. In the Dashboard, you can customize how the tribute giving feature operates and is displayed in the Donor Portal. It also includes Checkout-level features worth exploring. Learn more.

Character Limit

You can manage the character limit for dedication messages sent via postal service, ensuring the message fits the print format.

Postal Tribute Preview

Once a supporter completes a dedication donation, they can customize their message in the Donor Portal. If opting to send the message by post, choose between Postcard or Letter with envelope preview options to help supporters see how their message will appear to recipients.

Image Collections

Image collections offer supporters a custom library of images for email dedication messages. Note: image collections aren’t available for postal deliveries.

Customizing Image Collection Categories

Each category can have up to four images with the following specifications:

• Minimum resolution: 800 x 600px
• Recommended resolution: 1,600 x 1,200px
• File types: JPG, PNG, GIF (static)

Modify category order by dragging thumbnails to prefered position. Images are easily downloadable, replaceable, or removable. Rename categories by selecting the current name, and adjust the display order using the six-dotted handler within Donor Portal.

Three-dot Menu

The three-dot menu for each image category lets you adjust its visibility and dedication type settings:

• Hide from donors: Conceal category in Donor Portal.
• All tribute types: Show for both In honor and In memory.
• In honor only: Show only when dedication is In honor.
• In memory only: Show only when dedication is In memory.

Duplicate or delete a category using the three-dot menu.
