Two-factor Authentication (2FA)

Status and Management

You can view your 2FA status to check if it is enabled, and which method is being used—either an authenticator app or SMS. You have the option to enable or disable 2FA, and switch verification methods by selecting Switch to using [method] and following the provided steps.

Enabling 2FA

To enable 2FA:

  1. Click Enable two-factor authentication and follow the instructions.
  2. Choose a verification method:
    • SMS: Receive a code via SMS every time you log in.
    • Authenticator App: Use an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Duo to generate a login code.

We recommend using an authenticator app as it’s more secure and does not require a phone signal—ideal if you’re abroad or changing your SIM card.

Backup Codes

If you opt to use an authenticator app, you’ll receive backup codes upon setting up 2FA. These codes can be essential if you lose access to your device. It’s crucial to note down and store these codes securely. You can always access them from the Profile page of your Dashboard settings.

To create a new set of backup codes, click to view your current codes and select Generate new backup codes.
