Overview of Questions
The Questions feature allows you to collect additional information from your supporters through the Checkout, Fundraisers, and Virtual Terminal methods.
How to Create a Question
Questions can be created in the Settings area of the Dashboard. When creating a question, assign a question code, type, and decide how it should appear.
Available Question Types
Varieties of question types provide flexibility:
Text Line
A single-line input for simple responses. Option to make a response mandatory. Example: “What is your favorite color? Red.”
Text Box
A multi-line input for more detailed responses. Option to make a response mandatory. Example: “What is one idea you have that can change the world?”
Choose One Option
Presented as radio buttons for single selection. Option to make a response mandatory. Example: “How do you like your drink? Shaken, Stirred, Muddled.”
Dropdown Menu
Select a single response from multiple options, with the option to make a response mandatory. Example: “How did you hear about us? Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.”
Multiple Checkboxes
Allows multiple selections from pre-defined options, best for gathering preference data. Option to make a response mandatory. Example: “What toppings would you like? Cheese, Peppers, Meatballs, Mushrooms.”
Single Checkbox
For yes/no responses, can default to pre-selected. Example: “Opt-in to receive the annual report? True/False.”
Questions Across Accounts
Parent accounts can set up questions in the main settings for availability to subaccounts. Questions specific to a subaccount can only be used for its campaigns.
Utilizing Questions in Various Scenarios
Checkout
Display questions post-donation to collect additional supporter data while maintaining conversion rates. Learn more

Exports
Questions can be outputted with response data and codes in CSV files through Exports templates. Learn more
