Gift Aid (UK only)

Encourage UK supporters to Gift Aid their donations, available to UK organizations only.

Gift Aid is a UK tax incentive program allowing charities to claim an additional 25% from the UK government on eligible donations, with no extra cost to supporters. This feature is accessible in Campaign settings exclusively for UK-based organizations.

Enabling Gift Aid

Organizations based in the UK can enable Gift Aid for supporters donating from the UK. Note that Gift Aid is not applicable to stock or cryptocurrency donations, so it applies only to monetary donations.

Customization

The upper half of the Gift Aid screen displays pre-set text, including default legal text that can be edited to fit your requirements. Customizations can also be localized in each of your enabled languages through the Localization settings tab.

Placement in the Donation Flow

The Gift Aid screen placement within the donation process depends on your campaign settings:

• If requiring a mailing address is enabled in Supporter settings, the mailing address screen displays before the Gift Aid screen.
• If a mailing address is required and Company Matching through 360MatchPro is enabled, the steps are mailing address, “Double your impact” company matching screen, then the Gift Aid screen.
• Agreeing to Gift Aid makes entering a mailing address mandatory, regardless of the “Ask for mailing address” setting in Supporter settings.

Integrations and Exports

You can map Gift aid claimed and Gift aid legal text values to integrated platforms, and these fields are available for export as well.

Are Transaction Costs Eligible for Gift Aid?

Yes. A supporter’s complete contribution, including transaction costs, qualifies for Gift Aid.
